  • 500 gms Mutton, 2 tbsps Oil, 3 tbsps coriander seeds, 3 dry red chillies ,1 tbsp ginger garlic crushed, 1 sprig Curry leaves, 2 onion finely chopped, 2 small tomato finely chopped, 1 tsp turmeric powder , 1 tbsp red chilly powder, Coriender leaves ,Salt to taste Water as required

Description

Mutton can be kept marinated ahead of time for 2-3 hours . You can cook the mutton in the pot instead of pressure cooking it. Use only freshly grounded coriander seeds powder. You can use chicken instead of mutton. You can use boneless mutton too.

Directions

Dry roast the coriander seeds for a min and grind them into a fine powder. Keep aside.

Add the mutton in a bowl, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, 1 tbsp of coriander powder, salt to taste, mix well and keep aside while you make ready the other ingredients.

Add the marinated mutton in a pressure cooker and cook in medium heat for about 10 minutes stirring it occasionally.

Add 1 cup water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.

Let the pressure release naturally.

Heat oil in a pot. Add dry red chillies, crushed ginger garlic, curry leaves and saute for a minute.

Add finely chopped onion and saute for 2 minutes.

Add finely chopped tomato and saute till onion turns mushy.

Add the coriander seeds powder and saute for a minute.

Add the pressure cooked mutton, mix well with the masala and cook for 5 minutes on high heat.

Add water as required and cook for another 10 minutes and take off the heat.  Then add some coriander leaves . Your flavorful mutton curry is ready to be served. Enjoy it with piping hot steam rice.

I hope you liked the recipe.
