Ingredients

  • Eggs - 5
  • Full cream milk - 3 cups
  • Ghee - 3/4 th cup
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Cashew nut - 1 tabsp ( chopped)
  • Raisins - 1 tabsp
  • Saffron - few strands soaked in milk
  • Green cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon - 1
  • Yellow food colour - a pinch(optional)
  • Cherries - few for garnishing

Description

This EGG HALWA 's a soft textured halwa recipe that will instantly melt in mouth. It's a unique dessert recipe that can be easily try at home. This is an innovative dessert recipe that can be prepared to treat someone special as well.

Directions

  1. )In a bowl add eggs and sugar
    2) Beat eggs till fluffy.
    3) Add a table spoon of ghee in a non-stick pan and fry all the dry fruits for few seconds on a medium flame.
    4) Take them out.
    5) In the same pan, boil milk with cinnamon stick.
    6) Add beaten eggs to it. Stir continuously on a medium flame. 7) When the milk is reduced, add a pinch of yellow colour and a spoonful of ghee and stir continuously so that it doesn't stick at the bottom.
    8) As the milk dries up, add ghee and stir.
    9) Add chopped cashew nuts and raisins.
    10) When ghee starts oozing out from the mixture and the whole thing crumbles down to small particles add cardamom powder. Mix well.
    11) Serve hot .
